This rayon challis is lightweight, soft and drapey, cool to the touch with a matte finish, for loose, flowy warm weather apparel.  Perfect for summer blouses, dresses, tops, skirts, pants, shorts, robes, pj's, shirts, beach wraps, summer pillow cases, shawls, scarves, less-structured jackets and ponchos. Rayon challis is woven not knit, so it does not stretch. It's quite easy to sew, breathable, easy to care for and takes colors beautifully.  Midnight Pacific Challis is lightweight but opaque in shades of deep blue, with purple. Cool wash and machine dry low, or air dry. Pre-treat before sewing - almost all rayon shrinks quite a bit. If you don't over-dry it, usually rayon challis comes from the dryer unwrinkled, newly fluffed and ready to wear.
